Bradford based Barrett Steel, one of the UK’s biggest independent steel stockholders, is taking the third of four 18 tonne rigids ordered this year with bodywork by Aire Truck Bodies.
All have 8.5m (28ft) long flat platforms with front and rear bolsters, a protective
headboard, bearers and posts and lashings rings to both sides. They join a fleet
of 29, including 19 rigids, between them moving more than 80,000 tonnes of steel
products to customers throughout the country from the firms’ 37-strong depot network.
