A special design of chassis subframe is used to meet the customer's requirement for 1.9m (6ft 2in) interior height within an overall 2.8m (9ft 2in), the latter to ensure the vehicle cleared the arched entrances to many cemeteries.
Hot and cold running water is on tap. And the vehicle is fitted with a tachograph and towing hitch in the event that a trailer with full washing facilities is required.
Based on a 3.5tonne IVECO Daily C12 Crewcab, the 3.75m wheelbase vehicle accommodates seven and is held in constant readiness to handle assignments anywhere in the UK - or even further afield.
The vehicle has been acquired from Coton Van Hire in Tamworth and was supplied through Guest Trucks of Birmingham.
Speaking at the delivery of the new vehicle, Karen McHale, director, Burial Ground Services UK Ltd, said: "Having a purpose built vehicle that is fully equipped and ready to go and that provides all the crew needs, especially on site, to complete its sensitive task efficiently and hygienically in sometimes difficult circumstances is a definite advantage."
